ADNOC Distribution Expands Self Serve and Premium Fueling Options to Northern Emirates
Abu Dhabi, UAE – October 16, 2018: ADNOC Distribution, the UAE’s largest fuel and convenience retailer, will continue the rollout of its Flex service across the UAE from October 21, 2018. Customers in Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah, Umm Al Quwain and Ajman can now choose to Self Serve free of charge or use the Premium Service for AED 10 when they refuel their cars. ADNOC Distribution will continue to offer four fuel products across its network, including the UAE’s lowest priced option 91 Octane, to give customers even more choice at the pump.

Crucial to this proposition is the investment we have made in technology which will benefit the customer by driving efficiency. All of these developments are underpinned by our first priority, safety.”
In tandem with the Flex introduction, ADNOC Distribution will also give away 100,000 Smart Tags to customers in Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah, Umm Al Quwain and Ajman. Aimed at simplifying both the Self Serve and Premium Service options, the Smart Tag technology provides a world-class payment option that enables customers to quickly refuel and pay without using cash or bank cards. The technology is based on an RFID tag being fixed to a vehicle to automatically trigger payment from the customer’s pre-paid ADNOC Wallet. The wallet can also be connected to other payment options including the Emirates ID card or ADNOC Plus card.
Customers are now able to take advantage of ADNOC Distribution’s Premium Rewards program in the emirates of Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah, Umm Al Quwain and Ajman. For a fee of AED 10, an attendant will refuel your car, wash your windshield and check your tires. In addition, Premium customers will also receive Rewards that can be redeemed in Oasis convenience stores.
The Premium Rewards program is refreshed at regular intervals and offers customers giveaways and discounts on products and services. Current rewards include a 12-pack of bottled water (no cost), coffee (AED 10 discount), deals on snacks, and discounts on ADNOC lubricants or an in-station car wash. The Premium Service receipt is valid for 30 days from date of purchase and the Rewards can be redeemed at all ADNOC Service Stations in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah, Umm Al Quwain and Ajman.
The roll out of Flex in Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah, Umm Al Quwain and Ajman follows a free trial period of several months, in which customers had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the Flex choices. ADNOC Service Station Attendants are on hand at all stations to assist any customers who need assistance with the Self Serve options. The Elderly and People of Determination remain exempt from paying the Premium service fee.
