The Youth Circle was held, in partnership with the Emirates Youth Council, to enable youth to express their opinions on societal issues and policy matters, and to catalyze community impact and youth leadership.
H.E Dr. Al Jaber said: “The present and the future are shaped by our youth. Today’s Youth Circle provided an opportunity for the next generation to voice constructive opinions on matters that are important to them and that will ensure ADNOC continues to be a key contributor to the country’s ambitious socio-economic objectives.
“At ADNOC we are committed to the professional development our young Emirati talent, to enable them to thrive and be the main drivers of our performance-led culture by providing them with the skills and opportunities to fulfill their potential.
“In line with the directives of our wise leadership, our investment in the professional development of ADNOC’s future leaders is the best investment we can make as we look to capitalize on smart growth opportunities that will ensure we continue to be an integral part of the economy and a driver of future prosperity,” H.E. Dr Al Jaber added.
The program included a presentation on ADNOC's evolution into a more commercially minded, agile and performance-driven company, based on four key pillars - People, Profitability, Performance and Efficiency.
H.E Al Mazrui praised ADNOC’s role in empowering and engaging with youth saying: “This Youth Circle is evidence that ADNOC is setting a strong standard for organizational youth engagement, and we are happy to see that they are the first to adopt the Youth Circle model internally in a government entity, setting a powerful example for all corporate leaders.”
H.E Al Mazrui stressed that: “Organizations excel as a result of a leader’s diligent efforts to instill a performance-driven culture, and the presence of H.E Dr. Sultan Al Jaber in this Circle is a testament to the trailblazing vision he brings to ADNOC. Like our country’s leadership, he believes that harnessing the ideas, talents and energy of youth is essential to shaping the UAE’s next 45 years.”
H.E Al Mazrui further added: “It is important for youth to go above and beyond expectations when it comes to their job descriptions because our country merits our best, and because our character requires us to push our broadest and deepest limits to contribute in all fields of work.
As part of ADNOC’s 2030 Strategy, it has revitalized its training policies to create a more robust youth development programme designed to provide greater on the job training and mobility opportunities for new talent within ADNOC. These programs are supported by lifelong learning, providing a mix of hands on experience and coaching, in addition to structured training that actively contributes to their qualification for leadership positions in the future.
In addition to its in-house education and training programs, ADNOC has a number of external initiatives aimed at developing young people, including the ADNOC Technical Institute, which plays a major role in the Emiratization of the nation’s energy sector.
H.E. Dr Al Jaber said: “We believe that supporting young people, through a variety of initiatives, positively impacts their development on a number of different levels, preparing them to take leading roles in shaping innovative and practical solutions to the future industry challenges they will face.”
