Established in 1973, ADNOC LNG was the first LNG production company in the region. We are majority owned by ADNOC, which has a 70% share of the company. Our other shareholders are Mitsui & Co (15%), BP (10%), and Total (5%).
ADNOC LNG has supplied LNG and LPG to Japanese power company JERA (formerly TEPCO) since 1977, and has become a major supplier of their power generation needs. And now, ADNOC LNG modernized its commercial approach to adapt new business model from a single-customer to multi-customers’ business that includes a number of global utilities as well as portfolio players and traders.
We also feed the UAE national grid with one billion standard cubic feet of gas per day for residential and industrial use. As our facilities expand, we aim to increase this supply in line with the national energy strategy.
ADNOC LNG is committed to successfully reducing flaring and emissions to reduce the impact of our operations and safeguard the natural environment.
