ADNATCO was established in 1975 for the transportation of petroleum products. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC).
The company has developed over the years vast experience in the field of marine transportation of petroleum products, ship bunkering, and transportation of molten sulphur. It is active as well in chartering ships on behalf of ADNOC for bulk transportation of sulphur to different countries worldwide. During the last few years, the company started further diversification of its activities when it chartered in 2002 RoRo ships for the transportation of Borouge’s production of polyethylene. The two ships became in 2004 the property of ADNATCO.
ADNATCO is currently on the verge of a big expansion project as ADNOC has signed contracts for the acquisition of 6 petroleum tankers and 7 bulk carriers of different sizes. The company has also converted two of its product tankers into bulk carriers for maximum utilization of their useful age.
ADNATCO enjoys a worldwide reputation for successfully implementing QHSSE Management Systems. In 2009, the company’s supporting services were merged with NGSCO under the umbrella of one management. The merger boosted both companies position and created a pool of versatile and experienced manpower in preparation for the expansion stage.
