The National Drilling Company (NDC) is one of the largest drilling contractors in the Middle East, providing its customers with quality drilling, work over and well maintenance services. Established in 1972, NDC was the first venture among the ADNOC Group of Companies. Today, we operate a fleet of 10 offshore and 18 onshore drilling rigs, a Multi-Purpose Service Vessel, as well as five water well rigs surveying the ground water of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. We take pride in our record of providing safe, healthy working conditions while protecting the environment and safeguarding assets.
Since ND-01 began its operations in 1973, National Drilling Company completed the drilling of more than 4,000 onshore and offshore wells with a total depth of more than 21.5 million feet. This exceeds the diameter of the globe of 20.9 Million feet.
In order to cope with the increasing demand for oil throughout the world, NDC has strengthened its capabilities by acquiring new technologies and adding more rigs to its fleet all equipped with ultramodern technologies. The company plans to increase its number of rigs, and to enhance its existing fleet by following a major enhancement programme termed “RIAP” – Rig Integrity Assurance Programme.
In addition to that, the company has been actively supported by the operational companies and successfully pre-qualified itself for a number of significant services such as directional drilling, drilling system and wire line services. NDC’s role in the petroleum development of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi is widely accepted and recognized. It is one of the largest drilling contractors in the region and undoubtedly the leader in the UAE drilling industry.
NDC Internationally recognized for its safety standards, special emphasis on environment conservation in both offshore and onshore locations. This obligation translated into winning many prizes in different Categories such as Safety and Innovation. Recently the company registered new achievement in this category when ND -17 completed 13 years of services without any Lost Time Incident. NDC also has won the Sheikh Khalifa Excellence Award (SKEA) in Services Sector and the company granted the ISO 14001 Certificate – 2004 for the Environment Protection.
These achievements were a result of the outstanding performance in all fields and the excellent Leadership and contribution at all levels.
