H.H. General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, reviewed the future projects of ADNOC and its Group of Companies during a visit to Sheikh Khalifa Energy Complex on February 10, 2008.
ADNOC officials presented to H.H. Sheikh Mohammed a detailed picture of ADNOC’s ongoing business plans in terms of current and future projects as well as long term future plans.
Areas discussed during the meeting included long term strategy expansions and oil production in the oil and gas sector, particularly the projects of ADCO, ADMA-OPCO and ZADCO. H.H. Sheikh Mohammed was also briefly updated on major offshore and onshore gas development projects.
On the refining sector, H.H. Sheikh Mohammed reviewed TAKREER’s expansion and production capacity, future plans and major projects.
Regarding the petrochemical sector, H.H. Sheikh Mohammed was presented with ADNOC’s five year business plan on chemical and petrochemical industry, starting with Borouge’s five year plan and projects such as Borouge 2, Borouge PTE plans, as well as ongoing and future projects of FERTIL.
Receiving H.H. Sheikh Mohammed upon his arrival at Sheikh Khalifa Energy Complex were H.E. Yousef Omeir bin Yousuf, SPC Secretary General and CEO of ADNOC, Mr. Abdulla Nasser Al Suwaidi, SPC Member and ADNOC’s Deputy CEO and Exploration and Production Director, in addition to members of the senior management of ADNOC and its Group of Companies.
Talking on behalf of ADNOC, Mr. Abdulla Nasser Al Suwaidi thanked H.H. Sheikh Mohammed for his continued interest and support for the development of ADNOC and its Group of Companies, affirming that H.H. Sheikh Mohammed’s support reflected his keen desire to see ADNOC achieve the international standard that the leadership expects it to reach in all its operations.
Later, members of ADNOC senior management presented the future plans of ADNOC and its Group of Companies including E&P activities until 2020 and gas projects up to 2015 as well as developments on refining and petrochemical sectors.
H.H. Sheikh Mohammed thanked ADNOC senior management and representatives of all the company’s sectors for their accomplishments, noting the importance of oil and gas as the nerve of the country’s economy and a vital factor for the development of Abu Dhabi Emirate.
He expressed his hope that ADNOC and its Group of Companies would realize more achievements and high performance in order to keep abreast with the fast changing developments taking place in the oil and gas industry.
He urged the need for integration and team work between all private and governmental corporations in the country in general and Abu Dhabi Emirate in particular.
“The era in which we live is drastically different from the past as it needs redoubling of efforts, excellence in work and qualified people,” H.H. Sheikh Mohammed said, affirming that the importance of the clarity of vision, the defining of objectives and striving for the development of human resources as vital factors for achieving high standard quality work through latest technology.
H.H. Sheikh Mohammed underlined the need to take maximum care about the environment in all the company’s operations.
For his turn, H.E. Yousef Omair bin Yousef expressed his gratitude and appreciation to H.H. Sheikh Mohammed for his visit, stressing that it will be a motivation for redoubling efforts and accomplishing more achievements.
Attending the meeting along with H. H.Sheikh Mohammed were Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Emiri Aviation Authority, H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Presidential Affairs, H.H. Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Crown Prince’s Court and Chairman of the Supreme Organization for Economic Zones, H.E Mohammed Ahmed Al Bawardi, Secretary General of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, and H.E. Khalduoun Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of Executive Affairs Authority.
